In this survey, Option B emerged as the winning choice for the preferred color of a sheet music app. Out of the 50 respondents, 35 voted for Option B, while only 15 voted for Option A. The characteristics that set Option B apart and contributed to its victory were its soothing and calming nature, which was favored by many participants. The blue color was perceived as easier on the eyes and less distracting compared to the bright green of Option A. Additionally, respondents mentioned that blue is a familiar and commonly used color in various websites and apps, making it a more appealing choice overall.

Across all options, three main topics stood out as important factors influencing participants' preferences: readability/ease on the eyes, visual appeal/aesthetics, and personal preference. Respondents consistently mentioned that they preferred colors that were easy to read and did not strain their eyes during prolonged use. They also expressed a desire for visually appealing designs that would catch their attention without being overly distracting or gaudy. Personal preference played a role as well since some individuals simply liked one color more than another based on their individual taste.

Based on these poll results, several hypotheses can be further tested in future research. Firstly, it would be interesting to investigate if there are any demographic or personality factors associated with preferences for certain colors in sheet music apps. For example, age groups or musicians with different levels of experience might have varying preferences based on their familiarity with certain design conventions or personal associations with specific colors. Secondly, conducting usability tests could provide insights into how different color schemes impact users' ability to navigate through sheet music apps efficiently and effectively while minimizing eye strain or distractions. Lastly, exploring how different shades within each color option (e.g., darker vs lighter blues) affect user satisfaction could help fine-tune design choices even further based on user feedback regarding readability and visual appeal.

Overall these survey results indicate that consumers prioritize ease of reading/eye comfort, visual appeal, and personal preference when selecting a color for a sheet music app. Further research can delve deeper into demographic influences and usability testing to optimize the design of such apps.
